Serves: 2-4

This is a great way to put some oomph into your pizza crust for an incredibly filling meal where just a slice or two will satiate you for hours!


Ingredients:
¾ lb. ground chuck, turkey or bulk Italian Sausage*
½ small onion, finely chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 cup Wheat-Free Market Pizza Crust Mix
1 teaspoon sea salt*
1 teaspoon Italian Seasonings*
1 large egg
½ cup marinara sauce
6 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni or other pizza toppings


Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a 8X8 pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a medium frying pan, brown ground meat (or Italian sausage) and onions. Cook until meat is thoroughly cooked. During last minute, add garlic and continue to stir. Drain most of oil from meat and transfer to medium bowl. 

Stir in WFM Pizza Crust mix, salt and Italian Seasoning. Taste for salt and adjust if needed. Then add egg and stir until well blended. Pour meat mixture into lined pan and press out until evenly distributed. 

Bake for approximately 13-15 minutes. Remove pizza from oven and set oven to broil. 

Top pizza with marinara and cheese followed by toppings of choice. Place under broiler until cheese has melted. Cut, serve and enjoy.

*IF USING BULK ITALIAN SAUSAGE, DO NOT ADD SALT OR ITALIAN SEASONING.
