Makes: About 12 squares
¼ cup butter
1/4 cup Virtue Sweetener
¼ cup heavy cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combined butter and Virtue Sweetener. Continually stir for approximately 5 minutes while the butter browns and bubbles. Add cream and continue to stir the boiling mixture for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add in vanilla. Immediately pour liquid into a small parchment-lined, rimmed pan or container that will act as a mold as the caramel cools. Let set at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Cut into squares or desired shape and serve.
To keep candy chewy, store in a small airtight container.
